JESUS, THE OBJECT OF THE SABBATH

Unveiling the Mystery of the Sabbath:

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holySix days you shall labour and do all your work10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: You, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it”. Exodus 20:8-11

The six days given to man for his work spiritually speaking represents Satan’s term in office: This is the time period in which man finds himself under Satan’s dominion and rule; the probation period for all men. The Seventh Day, spiritually speaking represents Jesus Christ, God’s Eternal Rest for man. It marks the beginning of a New Government, when God finishes the work of man on the cross by nailing our sins upon Jesus Christ: When He brought Satan’s dominion and rule upon man to an end.

Now hear the voice of Christ;

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. 29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost”. John 19:28-31

Jesus said on the cross, “It is FINISHED!” So I asked, Lord, what is FINISH? He replied and said to me, “YOUR WORK IS FINISHED, therefore, you are free to take REST. I have finished your work which you could not finish for all those years. Now come to me and REST in me.

The Seventh Day represents CHRIST, the FULNESS of God.
